The campaign success has elevated malnutrition as a global health priority and inspired other organizations to initiate similar awareness efforts.
Each year ASPEN hosts a week of educational webinars and patient resources to help identify, treat and prevent malnutrition.
Malnutrition Awareness Week is an annual, multi-organizational campaign created by ASPEN to:
- Educate consumers/patients on the importance of discussing their nutritional status with healthcare professionals
- Increase awareness of nutrition’s role on patient recovery
